Welcome

The SIL is a home for women who value beautiful things with a story. Originally founded as a platform for hard-to-find independent designers, The SIL has evolved into a vintage-led destination where fashion, heritage, and personal style intersect. In addition to offering vintage fur through select releases, The SIL grants access to the closets of the world’s most celebrated tastemakers—each piece accompanied by the personal stories behind it, shared by the woman who owned it. At its heart, The SIL is about provenance: preserving a garment’s history, and allowing its next owner to become part of that continuing narrative.

Natalie Bloomingdale

Natalie Bloomingdale founded The SIL in 2017 as a way to share the designers, pieces, and discoveries she loved but found nearly impossible to shop online. With a background in public relations and a lifelong instinct for spotting what’s next (and what’s timeless), she built The SIL as a highly personal edit—part insider access, part modern treasure hunt. A Texas native with a deep love for 1960s fashion and unapologetically fabulous dressing, Bloomingdale has also become a thoughtful champion of vintage fur, extending the life of these exceptional garments.

Lilah Ramzi

Lilah Ramzi is an editor at Vogue, where she has covered fashion, culture, and style for over a decade, developing a reputation for her deep love of fashion history, vintage, and the stories hiding inside great clothes. With time spent in the archives at The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute and years immersed in the pages of Vogue, she brings both an editor’s eye and a collector’s instinct to everything she touches. A longtime vintage collector herself, Lilah brings the same discerning eye to The SIL—part editor, part detective, part matchmaker—pairing extraordinary pieces with the next woman who will wear them.
