Hayden Lasher, a fifth generation Texan, is from Houston. Fashion is in her blood, as her great uncle was Henri Bendel, the man who introduced Coco Chanel to the US market. His family opened the iconic Belgian Shoe Store in Manhattan decades ago, and Hayden grew up visiting (and has amassed quite a collection of the beloved loafer!).
After graduating from the University of Southern California, Hayden studied at Parsons in both New York and Paris. While working as a shoe and handbag designer at Oscar de la Renta (Hayden also worked at Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs), she decided to launch her own collection of handbags to complement the Belgian loafer. Hayden wanted to honor its classic style and construction: her handbag line boasts the signature Belgian bow and is manufactured in New York with the highest quality Italian leathers.
Exclusively available at the Belgian Shoe Store on E. 55th, Hayden's collection has grown beyond the original Belgian Bag to encompass a tote, a custom dyeable evening bag and a collapsable/washable tote, great for new mothers.
