Closet Reveal
Before taking the helm of The Colony Palm Beach and The Hedges East Hampton, Sarah J. Wetenhall spent more than a decade in New York fashion, working with Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, and Hugo Boss. Today, the same eye for color, glamour, and detail that helped transform The Colony into Palm Beach’s beloved Pink Paradise defines her personal wardrobe. Her style in three words? “Colorful, classic, consistent.”
A devotee of Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, and Johanna Ortiz, Sarah loves a feminine silhouette, a bold print, and a healthy dose of pink. When she finds something she loves, she buys it in multiples—sometimes even “in triplicate.” Lately, she’s been revisiting the ’90s, when she first worked in fashion. “There’s a lot of nostalgia there for me,” she says. Her closet includes pieces worn everywhere from Palm Beach galas to evenings in the Hamptons, including a pink-and-red Herrera dress that was especially hard to surrender. “It’s one of those pieces that just makes you happy the moment you put it on.”
