About the Item:

A 1970s Brenner Couture maxi dress in a bright green floral print with pink, purple, and yellow accents. The dress has a fitted bodice, pointed collar, long sleeves, and a long skirt that falls from the defined waist. Ruffles run down the front of the bodice, finished with covered buttons for an extra feminine detail. The lightweight, semi-sheer fabric and colorful floral print make it a great dress for spring and summer parties, weddings, or vacation.

About the Label:

This one has a particularly good story. Eleanor Brenner studied at FIT and went on to work as an in-house designer at Henri Bendel, where she created one-of-a-kind couture clothing. In 1968, she and her husband Richard founded Brenner Couture, with Eleanor serving as head designer. The company became known for dresses designed to flatter a wide range of women and offered everything from casual knits to eveningwear. Second Lady Joan Mondale was among Brenner's clients in the 1970s.
