A rare vintage purchase in Joanna’s otherwise designer-heavy wardrobe, these Peppino menswear trousers were discovered at a vintage show at VOD Boutique in Dallas. Rather than a conventional striped fabric, the graphic black, gray, and ivory pattern is constructed from individual strips of fabric pieced and topstitched together, giving the trousers an almost paneled effect. “I bought it as a vintage during a vintage show,” Joanna remembers. They ultimately never made it into rotation: “I bought them and I never wore them. They don’t even fit me. I don’t know what I was planning to do with them,” she says, laughing.
