From Alexander Wang’s Fall 2018 collection, the Alison slippers are made from black leather arranged in a graphic cage construction and densely set with rows of tiny crystals. Joanna bought them while in London for work, stumbling upon them at a small boutique near the hotel where she was staying. The sparkle was something of a departure for her: “They were one of those rare moments in my life when I went for something shiny,” she remembers.
