About the Item:

These Christian Dior D-Way platform slides put a sportier spin on one of the house’s signature sandal silhouettes. In olive green, they feature a wide woven strap embroidered with “CHRISTIAN DIOR PARIS,” a leather footbed, and a chunky platform wrapped in tonal Dior Oblique jacquard. Even the sole is considered, with a star motif—a longtime house code—molded into the rubber. Czech received the pair brand new from a friend and wore them only sparingly.

About the Label:

Christian Dior founded his namesake house in Paris in 1946, transforming postwar fashion the following year with his debut collection and its famously extravagant “New Look.” Monsieur Dior’s fascination with flowers, femininity, and the rituals of couture established a vocabulary the house continues to revisit today. In 2016, Maria Grazia Chiuri became Dior’s first female creative director, bringing a modern perspective to that heritage while reinterpreting house signatures such as the Oblique motif, the Bar jacket, and Dior’s lucky star.
