From Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2020 collection, this sleeveless mini dress is rendered in a wonderfully colorful plaid-like weave, finished with a swingy multicolor fringe hem. For Joanna, it belonged very specifically to one chapter of her wardrobe: “It felt right for being proper in Dallas,” she says, laughingly calling it her “proper, very Dallas dress.” Worn perhaps once, it was ultimately left behind when Joanna moved: “This dress never made it to New York.”
