“I really started collecting vintage through handbags,” Jenny says of this structured brown top-handle bag, which perfectly captures her love of sculptural accessories. “From straight on, it looks almost like this great Phoebe Philo-era Céline bag—but then the side view has this really interesting loop design on the handles that I’ve never seen before.” Though likely dating to the c. 1950s–1960s, the bag feels remarkably modern, with its sleek trapezoidal silhouette and rich brown leather construction. Jenny carried it during Paris Fashion Week, pairing it with contemporary tailoring and sleek separates. Elegant without trying too hard, it has the sort of restrained sophistication that French women spend decades attempting to master.
