The piece has particular significance for Joanna, who is a longtime friend of the designer and even carried Christina Lehr in her Dallas studio. “When I first opened my studio in Dallas, I carried some Christina’s pieces—very light sweaters or cotton dresses,” she says. “Everyday, laid-back, comfortable clothing.”

Christina Lehr comes from a fashion family: Her father, Henry Lehr, built his namesake business in New York before bringing it to the Hamptons, where it became known for an easy, understated approach to luxury. Christina later launched her own eponymous collection, specializing in relaxed knits, dresses, and everyday staples.
