A romantic black scarf combining sheer floral lace with solid panels, finished with scalloped lace and delicate eyelash-fringed edges. Designed by Turkish designer Hakan Akkaya, the generous proportions allow it to be wrapped closely around the neck or worn loosely as a shawl. Joanna received the piece as a gift from a close friend, and it has remained unworn in her collection. 

Turkish designer Hakan Akkaya began his career after studying fashion design in Istanbul and went on to work for several major Turkish fashion companies before establishing his namesake label. Known for an avant-garde sensibility and a strong preference for black and white, Akkaya designs both womenswear and menswear as well as made-to-measure pieces. In 2017, he became the first Turkish designer to join the official New York Fashion Week calendar, where he went on to show several collections.
