Resort 2017 Bally Red-and-White Striped Bag
From the Closet of: Joanna Czech
Label: Bally
Era: Resort 2017
About the Item:
This structured Bally top-handle bag from the house’s Resort 2017 collection is crafted in vivid red leather with graphic red-and-white striped panels, contrast stitching, polished gold-tone hardware, and a detachable wide shoulder strap. Polish-born Czech was immediately drawn to its distinctive palette. “The red and white reminded me of the Polish flag—I had to have it,” she says. “I don’t own much red, which made it even more special.” She remembers buying it around the time Bally was preparing its new Madison Avenue flagship, and while she typically gravitates toward larger, softer bags, this one won her over: “I loved that it could be a proper little lady bag with the short handle, or I could throw on the long strap and travel with it.”
