A pair of pale blue Roseanna pants cut from 100% cupro, a lightweight, silky-soft fabric that gives the wide-leg silhouette its beautiful fluid drape. Finished with a finely pleated texture and elasticated waistband, the pants were purchased by Joanna at V.O.D. Boutique, the Dallas store located next door to her studio. “I thought between white and blue that that’s going to be my perfect choice,” she remembers. Though they never really made it into her regular rotation—she thinks she wore them once, if at all—the soft blue is very much in keeping with a wardrobe in which shades of blue appear again and again.

Lille-born, Paris-based designer Anne-Fleur Broudehoux founded Roseanna in 2008 after working at Donna Karan, Alberta Ferretti, and Chloé. Drawing on her family’s roots in textiles, Broudehoux built the French label around beautifully cut wardrobe pieces enlivened by unexpected color, print, and texture. Roseanna produces its collections in small or limited quantities, with the majority made in Europe, primarily in France, Italy, and Spain.
