Closet Reveal

Jenny Walton

Illustrator, author, and vintage obsessive Jenny Walton approaches fashion with what she describes as a “playful, artistic, colorful” sensibility—and her closet reflects exactly that. Included in her edit for The SIL are some of her most beloved finds: an outrageously glamorous Adolfo hat (“she’s such a show-stopper”), celestial Yves Saint Laurent thigh-highs, cheerful mid-century floral brooches, and the Prada knits she “wore a million times in Milan.” Walton, who recently released her book Jenny Sais Quoi: Adventures in Vintage & Personal Style, says she returns again and again to the spirit of the 1960s: “I love the youthquake energy…the bold color and sense of freedom and experimentation are always very inspiring.” Her collection feels much the same—romantic, eccentric, and impossible not to fall a little in love with.
