Label: Christian Dior

Era: 2000s

About the Item:

A playful piece of John Galliano-era Dior, this silk scarf turns one of the house’s early-2000s It bags into a graphic motif. Against a vivid red ground, the Christian Dior name repeats in varying typefaces alongside line drawings of the Malice bag, recognizable by its distinctive handle and pearl detailing. Rendered in shades of red, burgundy, pale pink, and cream, the pattern captures the logo-heavy exuberance that defined Dior at the turn of the millennium.

About the Label:

Founded in Paris in 1946 by Christian Dior, the house transformed postwar fashion with the romantic proportions of the New Look. Over subsequent decades, Dior has continually reinterpreted its codes of femininity and French savoir-faire. Under John Galliano, who served as creative director from 1996 to 2011, the house entered one of its most theatrical periods, mixing historical references, exuberant embellishment, and a newly irreverent approach to the Dior archive.
