First shown on the Carolina Herrera Fall 1990 runway, this two-tone 100% wool blazer with black velvet trim features luxurious beaded and knotted buttons—a reminder that with Herrera, luxury is always in the details. On the runway it was styled with a checkered shirt—an effortlessly chic pairing that feels just as modern today. “This jacket came from my mother-in-law—she would wear it with a Carolina Herrera gingham shirt underneath, and it just looks so chic styled together,” Natalie says.

Carolina Herrera was founded in 1981 and quickly became synonymous with a refined, distinctly American elegance. Early collections—produced in New York—focused on crisp shirts, elegant tailoring, and eveningwear with restraint rather than excess making Carolina Herrera vintage from the 1980s and 1990s so wearable—and so collectible—today.
